When Lamorn submitted a track to deadau5’s mau5trap in August last year, deadmau5 himself took notice of the 18 year old and his undeniable talent at creating unique and catchy electro house music. That same week, Lamorn would be announced as the winner of ATTLAS & mau5trap’s remix competition for ATTLAS’ hit single ‘Half Light’ ft. Alisa Xayalith. The rest has been history.
Lamorn releases ‘Physical Layer’ just in time for summer. ‘Physical Layer’ is a smooth track with steady electro guitar riffs, a hustling house beat, and slinky synths. The lighthearted rhythm is ripened by rich house sounds and lusty vocal samples. Lamorn’s talent shines particularly bright through the slick transitions that seem as effortless as the groove he creates. The dexterous layering of percussion elements never takes away from the catchy melody, but keeps it steady and fresh throughout. It is obvious that Lamorn is an inspiring artist with a talented ear for bringing old and new together to create a lush soundscape electro house fans can relish in. Hopefully this is the first of many tracks to come in this gifted producer and musician.
