Sean carefully moves from life and mental health struggles, to social commentary, dropping wisdom (“Mama said it only takes one time to fuck up your whole Wikipedia”) and more. He also touches on how Nipsey’s passing inspired him to reach out to Kendrick. ‘Deep Reverence’ is a top-tier rap collab setting the stage for Detroit 2, and reminding us of Nipsey’s greatness.
