Drake is suing Universal Music Group for defamation

It seemed that Drake had calmed down in his crusade against Universal Music Group and Spotify for producing and pushing Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us, the diss track in which, among other things, he is accused of pedophilia.

But no. Drake has filed an official lawsuit against UMG accusing the major of defamation, invasion of privacy, knowingly promoting false and dangerous content and failure to supervise.

Defamation not only because he is accused of being a pedophile in the song, but also because of his Jewish origins which Kendrick would be referring to when he says “You’re not like us”.

A somewhat forced vision, if you like. Obviously it is not known what Kendrick really meant, but it is plausible that he was referring to the fact that Drake does not belong to black culture. However, the lawsuit is not against Lamar, but only against Universalin fact the complaint states: “this lawsuit does not concern the artist who created ‘Not Like Us’, but UMG, who decided to publish, promote, exploit and monetize accusations that he knew were not only false, but also dangerous” .

Drake also claims to fear for his safety and security, as his house is depicted on the song’s cover.
