Travis Scott Delivers Endearing Birthday Toast To James Harden
James Harden celebrated another year around the sun on Monday (Aug. 26) and brought in his special day surrounded by loved ones. One of the highlights of the night was when Travis Scott delivered a special toast to the shooting guard, where he told the entire room Harden is the “greatest human of all time.”
With a bottle of Don Julio 1942 in his hand, the “Goosebumps” rapper stood on a chair and commanded the room. “To the greatest human of all time, if you don’t leave this place having the best time of your life, or wasted in your life, or off of water, or off of sprite, then we cannot be friends after this,” he said during his toast. “I just want everybody to go to the next level for the greatest human of all time. If you are here, you are only here to celebrate the best of the best of the best of the best… this is my greatest friend of all time.”
He concluded by telling everyone to clink their glasses in the name of Harden, saying, “Dance until your feet can not work no more. If you have a shot in your hand, then I need you to raise that glass to the highest of the highest. We’re only here to have a good time, not for a long time.” Check out the video below.
The Clippers player echoed Scott’s sentiments the next day, as he chose a photo of them to be the cover of his recap Instagram post and also included a video of the speech. Captioning the carousel, “last night I brought my birthday in with great fellowship #Uno,” Harden welcomed a flurry of birthday wishes in the comments. The post showed other guests at the party included Lil Baby, Michael Rubin, Kevin Durant, and plenty more.
Harden and Scott have publicly shown immense support for each other throughout the years, with their mutual Houston connection serving as the anchor to their friendship. In a 2019 Billboard interview, the former Rockets player summarized their bond by saying, “We give each other confidence. We talk about how we can be better in our own class. It’s really grown to be a real brotherhood and a friendship. It’s pretty dope.”
