Princess Love Opens Up About Dating Floyd Mayweather Jr. At His Most “Vulnerable Time”

Princess Love is opening up about her relationship with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and what it was like to date the famous boxer before he became the massive figure he is today. The producer, actress, and internet personality sat down with Carlos King on his Reality With The King show and delved into the story of how she met Floyd, why she fell for him, and more.

“He was about to go to jail,” Princess Love detailed about the timeline, which began around 2012. She also shared how the WBC super featherweight champion kept it real with her in terms of their status, adding, “We were just there for each other, we built a strong friendship. I did not know that he had all these women, but he’s always been very honest. He’ll tell you, ‘I’ll have as many women as I can afford.’ It’s like, ‘Okay.’ He’s not a liar about anything.”

Princess explained that she was able to build a bond with Mayweather because she was by his side during one of the most “vulnerable” chapters of his life. “We built a friendship when he was in jail. When he got out, it developed into something more. We were still friends, friendship was always our base foundation. By the time he got out… the Floyd that I know is the Floyd that didn’t have access to all these crazy things. I got to know Floyd when he was at his most vulnerable time. He was just grateful to get a cheeseburger. That’s the Floyd that I fell in love with,” she said.

She added that she still “loves and respects” Mayweather to this day.

Elsewhere in the conversation, the One Mo’ Chance producer also told a story about the time she dropped off her friend Teairra Mari at Drake’s house, which led to drama because someone told Ray J that it was Princess who wanted to go to the Toronto star’s residence. One of Princess Love’s more well-known relationships is her marriage with the “One Wish” singer. In February 2024, the former announced she filed divorce from the latter, marking the couple’s fourth time doing so.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our decision to divorce. After much reflection, discussion, and counseling, we have come to the difficult realization that our paths have diverged, and it is in the best interest of both of us to part ways,” she wrote in a statement at the time.
