NGHTMRE & Zomboy Join Forces In Relentless 'Shellshock' – FUXWITHIT
There is no better time for Zomboy to return from a nearly two-year long hiatus than two days before Halloween. The legendary producer, known for his core-shattering sound design and heavy hitting basses, has been quiet since the dawn of the pandemic, surely conjuring up a healthy dosage of wicked tracks that will hopefully see the light of day soon enough.
Today, the British producer’s revival comes in the form of an epic collaboration with NGHTMRE and vocalist Georgia Ku. A sonic titan in his own right, NGHTMRE has dabbled across various genres of electronic music and beyond, earning just about every accolade in this musical sphere. Together, the two veterans celebrate Gud Vibrations‘ 100th release with ‘Shellshock,’ a menacing dubstep brute that beautifully combines their respective styles with Georgia Ku’s powerful vocals.
“I don’t do many collabs. But when I do it’s always something special. When NGHTMRE approached me with this amazing topline from the super talented Georgia Ku, it was a no-brainer to jump on the track! What a great way to celebrate Gud Vibrations’ 100th release,” says Zomboy about his latest. The introduction of ‘Shellshock’ is a gradual build to euphoria, as NGHTMRE and Zomboy paint a grandiose soundscape underneath the angelic vocal layer. As the track progresses, the instrumentals start to dominate, until the drop turns the piece into utter dubstep insanity. With Zomboy’s sound design leading the charge and NGHTMRE’s meticulous attention to detail providing a welcome addition to the drops, ‘Shellshock’ is sure to become a mainstage favourite with its undeniable headbang-inducing energy and catchy vocal riffs.
