New Edition Extends Las Vegas Residency For A Third Time

New Edition is still dominating R&B, as they extend their Las Vegas residency for a third time amid being inducted into the NAACP Image Awards Hall Of Fame.

The group first announced they’d be headed to Vegas in November 2023 and has since extended their run twice since its commencement in late February.

“The start of our Las Vegas residency has been a truly unforgettable experience for us all. We are bringing a decades-long dream to life night after night, and we are incredibly grateful to our fans who have traveled far and wide to sing along with us in these sold-out performances. We are thrilled to present more shows throughout 2024 at Encore Theater — this is only the beginning!,” said New Edition in a statement.

Thus far, the show has been sold out and received praise from the likes of Marlon and Jackie Jackson, Mike Tyson, Macy Gray, Mekhi Phifer and Big Boi.

When accepting their induction into the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame, member Michael Bivins invited the crowd to come out and see them in Sin City. He also praised their upbringing and brotherhood.

“We stand here from Boston, straight out of Orchard Park Projects. We stand here for Washington DC, and more importantly, we stand here in brotherhood. Y’all seen our story, you know what we been through. We call each other everyday, we text each other everyday, we check on our families.”

Ronnie DeVoe honored the man who laid the foundation for them to thrive and celebrate a four-decade long career, Brooke Payne.

“Without someone to refine it and put the pressure on it, it doesn’t turn into the diamonds that we are standing before you guys, so we thank you Mr. Payne. So many shoulders we stand on top of right now, we thank you for providing us a firm foundation that we stand on today,” he shared.

The next run of their residency at Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas kicks off on July 3 and will go for six nights before it returns this fall on Oct. 30, Nov. 1, and Nov. 2. Tickets are currently on-sale at Ticketmaster.com.
