DaBaby Sued By DaniLeigh’s Brother For $4M Over Alleged Assault
DaniLeigh‘s brother has smacked DaBaby with a $4 million lawsuit over an alleged assault. According to In Touch, Leigh’s brother, Brandon Bills, filed the suit in response to an alleged 2022 assault that went down at a Southern California bowling alley by the rapper, who is DaniLeigh’s former flame and also the father of her child. Bills’ suit states that he is owed $2 million in general damages and an additional $2 million for special damages after DaBaby attacked him for “no reason,” resulting in “severe injuries, psychological damage, and medical bills.”
Video footage from the incident shows both DaBaby, né Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, scrapping with Brandon Bills in the bowling alley lanes as the fight escalates into an all-out brawl. TMZ shared additional clips from the fight, which show people slipping in the alley lanes as Brandon attempts to ward off a group of combatants.
Law enforcement launched an investigation into the brawl, but the inquiry failed to yield charges for neither Kirk nor Bills. The Baby on Baby artist would later claim that his actions were “self-defense,” while Brandon Bills filed a civil suit against the rapper and the bowling alley.
Bills insists that he has been attempting to serve the rapper with the legal documents and even hired a process server to accomplish his mission. However, RadarOnline states that Bills could not locate the Cleveland native to serve him the papers.
The outlet detailed that Brandon then petitioned the court in April to allow him to take out a newspaper ad in hopes of letting DaBaby know that he was being sued. InTouch reported that the judge has finally signed off on the alternate serving method, with Brandon Bills becoming able to serve DaBaby the papers via a local newspaper ad.
DaBaby has not responded or commented on Brandon Bills’ lawsuit via social media.
