Latto Talks Pressure To Get BBL Surgery At 21 Years Old

Latto is sharing more information on what led her to get a Brazilian Butt Lift, or a BBL, done when she was 21 years old, and she is pointing the finger at internet pressure.

In a recently posted video on social media, the Atlanta-based rapper shares her thoughts on the current climate of the BBL economy. She also reveals a bit about her journey and how she thought getting the surgery would boost her self-esteem. At the time, the rapper claims that people would constantly call her “bad-bodied” and shame her for her initial figure.

However, she realized that trying to impress others did nothing for her confidence, as she stated that after receiving the surgery, people shamed her for going under the knife.

“My body was so tea… I signed my deal when I was 21… actually I wasn’t even 21 yet… and I was just having money and living a whole new life, eating out,” she expressed. “Ya’ll know I’m a foodie, so now I had the funds to feed this foodie in me so I gained a little weight. And everybody on the internet was calling me ‘bad-bodied’ and stuff like that, so I feel like that played a role. I started being a little insecure about my body.”

“Every time I post a gym picture, people be like, ‘Oh, she got a BBL.’ I’ve been so loud and clear about a BBL that I had four years ago when I was 21, [one] that y’all convinced me I needed, by the way… Bi**hes be on their third, fourth round by now. I got one BBL four years ago. This is all me now, know that. I get my a** up and go to the gym!”

The “Sunday Service” rapper wrapped up her message to her followers with a call to be comfortable in their skin. Latto reiterated that regardless of getting surgeries, you must learn to love yours, à la J. Cole.

“Moral of the story, I just think everybody should just stop worrying about everybody. Natural girls are winning. Surgery girls… BBL girls are winning,” she concluded. “Do what works for you and mind your own business. Make your own decisions based on what you want to do, not what other people are telling you to do.”
