Jennifer Lopez Tour Canceled Amid Low Ticket Sales, Rumored Marriage Trouble

Jennifer Lopez is canceling her This Is Me…Live tour amid poor ticket sales and rumored marriage trouble with husband, Ben Affleck.

“Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends,” reps for Live Nation confirmed to Associated Press.

Lopez, 54, released her own statement via her OntheJLo website and newsletter, writing, “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary.”

She went on, ““I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”

The This Is Me…Live tour was set to be the Bronx native’s fifth concert tour, and was originally planned in support of her ninth studio album, This Is Me… Now. The tour was changed to focus on her greatest hits following lackluster support of the album itself. Unfortunately, ticket sales never quite picked-up, with Page Six recently reporting that Lopez’s proposed 90-date residency at the MGM in Las Vegas is in jeopardy due to poor tour ticket sales. The announcement of the tour’s cancellation will certainly inform the ultimate decision.

The cancelation also comes amid reported marriage trouble for the star and husband, Ben Affleck. According to a source at People, their relationship “is not in the best place at the moment,” partially due to their differing personalities. While Lopez is a open-book extrovert, Affleck is more low-key, and prefers to keep their private life private.

“She likes to open her heart to her fans and to the world,” a music source told People of Lopez. “He is more introspective and private. This has been difficult day-to-day.”

Lopez recently shot down rumors of a martial rift during a press appearance for Netflix film, Atlas.

“Your divorce with Ben Affleck is real? What is the truth?” asked an attendee, with Atlas co-star Simu Liu attempting to shut it down with, “OK, we’re not doing that.”

Lopez then added, “You know better than that.” Check out the moment below.
