Meet Blink The Young LA Rapper Whose Debut Single “Wanna Party” Brought Back Positivity Amidst The Pandemic
Bringing a high dose of excitement and positivity, the young and talented LA-based rapper Blink recently launched his career with the party anthem “Wanna Party.” We interviewed him to get to know the man behind the artist, as he shared with us some of the challenges he faced during the pandemic, his future plans, and some behind the scenes moments that happened during the filming of his debut music video.
Could you share with us some of the challenges you faced while releasing new music during the pandemic?
The challenges that I faced while trying to record the music video during a pandemic was trying to gather everyone up in one area. I had some girls drop out of being in the music video because of the pandemic. Another issue was trying to find the perfect day when everyone is off from work. Traveling to school and being full time in classes was also a challenge.
Who is your favorite artist of all time?
Drake, Dr Dre, Jay Z, Pharrell Williams, and 50 Cent
“Wanna Party” is an impressive debut release, why did you choose this song to launch your career?
I chose this song to launch my career because it gives me a smooth vibe kind of similar to Puff daddy and biggie. Also I wanted to give listeners an up to date Tempo similar to Drake.
How would you describe your style of music?
I would describe my music as a chill Steezy classic laid-back style.
Besides music, what is your favorite thing to do?
Football, and having a sharp eye for unique fashion.
Was the shooting of the music video fun? Any behind the scenes special moments?
Shooting the music video was very exciting because everyone got to party and interact with each other while listening to a brand-new party song. Behind the scenes we did even more partying and played all types of different party music such as Nelly, Cardi B, Drake and more.
Are you going to continue dropping positivity-filled releases, or are you planning on alternating moods?
I’m going to continue making positive music that everyone can listen to. I will change between moods but at the same time I will keep it classy and positive. No matter what type of mood I promise to keep my audience heads bumpin
