Lil Durk has released a new verse from prison
Lil Durk, who has been in prison for nearly a year since he was arrested on murder-for-hire charges last October, has released a new verse from behind bars. He did it on October 19th on the occasion of his 33rd birthday.
Durk uploaded a voice memo to social media, which was recorded during a call made from prison and then adjusted with autotune in post production, accompanied by the caption “I don’t have all the words, but I’m grateful to still have a voice. Thanks to everyone who supported me when things got tough. I’m working on myself, working on peace, and I hope the city feels it too”.
In the song, Durk says “Who you depend on?/If you need something who can you bend on?Ask you bi**h is she really putting ni**as in the friendzone/Came from nothing, ate on nothing/Ain’t have nothing to put my grits on/Run it, I’m from the mud, I really watched the Flintstones.”
