Interview With Mahaji – The Man Behind “Snowing” FT Prvnci
We have been loving your new track “Snowing,” featuring Prvnci. Can you share with us a few of the interesting moments you went through while creating it?
Yeah of course, so one of the funniest things was when me & Prvnci were making the song he actually threw away his whole verse after he heard my hook. All I could was laugh & ask why he deleted his verse & he literally said “nahhh bro you aint tell me you was gonna come in this hard “. Another crazy thing is the song was like one of ten we made that night & we made “Snowing” in like 20/30 mins.
What drove you to seek out a music career?
Just my natural raw talent & gift. I know music is my calling & I just want to help people & change my life. I know music has saved me literally. So if it can do that for me I can do that for others.
What is your most memorable moment as an artist?
Hmmm I’d have to say the most memorable was the 1st dm I got for my song called “ Fall Softly “. That song is about my family & friends who have all passed & a fan dm’d me & said how much it helped them & impacted them. After that I knew I had exactly what I thought I had. A gift, the gift of music.
Are there any near future releases on the horizon?
Of course. I’ll be releasing a song every 3 weeks leading up to my song “Love My Sweatpants “
How would you define your unique style?
Versatile af ! I don’t have a specific style & if you want to see what I’m talking about or don’t believe me. Go listen to my album “ Gray “ or my album “ Did Winter Cry “.
What is your favorite song right now?
It’d have to be between “ Hiccup “ or “ Trust Nobody “ ; both of those songs were made at a very hard time in my life. I also think there’s healing & a type of peace of mind when you listen to those two songs.
What artists have influenced your music the most?
Without a doubt Tory Lanez, Chris Brown, Xxxtentacion, Russ. Those artists have done so much for my career. It’s crazy.
