How Canadian photographer Bila Aouffen portrayed the Milan Cortina Winter Olympic Games

Born in 1997 in Canada, Bila Aouffen arrived in France at a young age, following his family when his father, a researcher, found work in Grenoble. Thanks to his commitment to athletics, particularly running, he approached photography.

He started photographing his friends during training and competitions. He didn’t study photography, he’s self-taught, but he was lucky enough to be able to collaborate with

Cortney White, an American sports photographer.

Sports became both his passion and his main subject.

At 24, he got a job at

Paris Olympics, where he worked for the Paris 2024 organizing committee. Cortina also worked as a photographer at the Milan Winter Games, taking unique shots, especially thanks to the objects he puts in front of the lens to make his photos works of art.
