For the 10th anniversary of its release, on May 9 a new version of True by Guè arrives

Among the many albums published by Gué in his career, true (released in 2015) is certainly one of those who remained most in the hearts of the fans.

A very appreciated job thanks to songs like girls cry, balance, we were king, outside hours, interstellar, spring, shark, who made his lyrics, indelible over time.

For the ten years since its release, a new true celebratory version is coming – 10 years later. In fact, in addition to showing off an entirely remastered audio, it will be available in a double LP and double CD version and will be enriched by an unpublished live held at alcatraz in 2016 during the tour to support the disc.

The graphic design will also be updated: the photos, which in the original version were in black and white, will color, to symbolize the new life of the project with inside the booklet, unpublished photographs and a text by Gué himself.

The original album tracklist will be enriched by the famous “sweatshirt suit”, at the time published in a subsequent reissue of the album.

Guè comments on the publication:

“True is my least sold disc, but also the one that everyone tells me is the most beautiful. It is my third solo album and arrived at a fairly particular moment of my career and rap.

I came as a good boy, a blockbuster of the time, over 70 thousand discs sold in 2013 (the real, solid, non -liquid ones) and from the latest album with the Dogo (after last year later the penultimate) of 2014, which was a particular year, a kind of scrolling of settlement after the great boom of Italian rap that had overwhelmed all of us in 2012 and 2013.

It was also my first n.1 in the solo standings, in a period in which to undermine the winners of friends was never easy (and in fact with the previous album I had not succeeded).

My mood was strange, it was at that time that I pulled out the statement “I pretend I was not in Italy” and this is how I approached that album, an album practically without feat (there was Akon, a French and a newcomer, Maruego) if you think an absurd one if we go back so much time.

True contains many pieces that I hold a lot and photographs a precise era of both my life and the musical market we lived. We will also play it on the tour departing in the buildings where there will be a set dedicated to this disc, to further celebrate these 10 years.

It is perhaps the time that gave justice to true, but above all the testimony in music of how the numbers do not necessarily have to correspond to a quality of a certain type, a theme that after 10 years is on the agenda in our world. True was the proof that Real music remains.

Maybe yes, true is my best record. 10 years later I’m even more true“.
