YSL Mondo Claims Offset Tried To “Check Him” Over Messaging Cardi B
Despite last week’s tumultuous online exchange, Offset apparently still wants to keep tabs on who Cardi B communicates with. According to YSL co-founder Mondo, the former Migos rapper called his phone to “check him” about sliding into his estranged wife’s DMs.
In videos posted online over the weekend, Mondo alluded to having some sort of a past rift with Set as he claimed that the “FAN” rapper is “in [his] feelings” over his eldest daughter’s mom, Shya L’amour. Mondo—who claimed to have been intimate with her—added that he tried to get at Cardi as well while advising her to leave Offset.
“This ni**a Offset just called my phone [and said], ‘Bruh, why you playin’ with a ni**a?’” he recalled of the alleged phone call. “Hey man, the truth hurts! You shouldn’t have been on the internet with your business, my boy … Don’t go calling my phone, hoe-a** ni**a. We ain’t gon’ do that, tender man.”
He continued, “Don’t get mad ’cause I smacked one of your baby mamas. And I tried to f**k Cardi — I ain’t gonna say ‘f**k her.’ I’m gonna take that back because it ain’t no disrespect to Cardi. But I really was just letting her know, ‘You need a real ni**a in your life. Why you letting a ni**a drag you through the mud? Don’t go for that, baby.’ That’s how I came in her DM and you cock blocked ’cause she went.”
However, Mondo later retracted his statement that he gave Cardi relationship advice and asserted that he was “trolling” about that part. He did admit to writing the Grammy-winner on Instagram in July.
“I didn’t say nothing about dude in her dm.. I was just trolling when I said I [slid] in her dm to let her know don’t let no ni**a drag her through the mud,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “Y’all let me get to yall that’s your fault… I bet nobody can show me the dm & I said anything about buddy… & this was almost 3 months ago way before they just put all they business on the internet.”
Although Offset has yet to publicly respond to Mondo’s claims, L’amour chimed in, accusing the YSL exec of chasing “clout” and being broke. She also alleged that he abuses Percocet pain pills and deemed him “delusional” to think he’s a “real ni**a.”

The latest Offset drama follows the pair’s heated online exchange where he accused the “Like What” rhymer of having sex with someone else while pregnant — to which she presumably admitted.
The public spat came after Cardi announced that she filed for divorce from Offset again in August and welcomed their third child, a baby girl. Despite their marriage woes, Offset was present in the delivery room.
