Young Thug Has A Message For People Bashing Him Over Leaked Jail Calls
Young Thug has been hit with a wave of criticism since jail calls he made while behind bars fighting his RICO case were first leaked to the public late last week. In the days since, fans and followers have heard the “Money On Money” rapper take shots as artists such as Gucci Mane, GloRilla, Kendrick Lamar, and less surprisingly, Gunna.
Despite what has been heard, Young Thug believes disparaging his name will only hurt the culture, according to an X/Twitter post shared Wednesday, Sept. 3.
“Bashing me only goin f**k that rap community up more, I’m the blue to this fake ass game,” he wrote, with many hypothesizing “blue” should be interpreted as “glue.” Take a look below.
The latest call to leak from Thugger found him disparaging GloRilla‘s looks, making reference to her slim physique, “big a** head” and “big mouth,” adding that he believes celebrities would only date her in private. She responded with a message on X, writing, “Mind you dis da same ni**a blowing my phone up to ask what color my eyes is lmaooo.” He later apologized.
“@GloTheofficial first of all I’m sorry to u for my words and I honestly don’t think ur ugly at all, I was speaking from jail just having a hard time with life.. I don’t like bashing girls and hardly ever did.. I’m sorry to u twin.”
Another call found him claiming Gucci Mane turned “soft” after his own jail stint, and admitting to purchasing fake streams for Gunna without the “One of Wun” artist’s knowledge. Gunna was also targeted during the call due to him confirming YSL as a gang that took certain illegal actions “in furtherance of the gang,” which Young Thug denies.
He also went on a rant against Kendrick Lamar after the Compton MC denied his request to collaborate.
One of the earliest leaks was of a conversation between himself and detectives during his RICO trial, which some interpreted as “snitching.” He quickly addressed the accusation on X.
“They didn’t play my interrogation video in court cause I helped my brada #Ratwhere?” he wrote at he time. See the post below.
