‘Who TF Did I Marry?’ TV Adaptation Is Officially In The Works

The viral Who TF Did I Marry? saga is coming soon to a TV screen near you. Natasha Rothwell will executive produce the project and Tareasa “Reesa Teesa” Johnson, the originator, will star in the show, per Variety.

The 50-part storytelling TikTok series blew up earlier this year for its riveting plot about Reesa’s relationship with her ex-husband. The videos totaled over eight hours in length and took viewers through a journey about the “pathological liar” of a husband she was dealing with as she uncovers the endless trail of lies he told her. The series earned Johnson more than 3 million followers and garnered over 450 million impressions across social media in a two-week period.

Rothwell, who is known for playing Kelli on HBO’s Insecure, obtained the rights to Who TF Did I Marry? through her production company, Big Hattie Productions, following a “competitive bidding war,” according to the outlet.

“CAN’T STOP. WON’T STOP. LFG,” the Emmy nominee captioned her post about the upcoming series.

Jerome McCoy, otherwise known as the man named “Legion” that the series is about, allegedly took calls that were not real during his role as vice president of a condiment company, a job Reesa also claims was a lie. The TikTok star also said “Legion” lied about moving to California, was divorced twice, pretended to have siblings, and much more.

Reesa Teesa sat down with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America back in March, where she detailed how she was deceived. “There were a lot of things in this story that were red flags… We thought it was hilarious that we matched on two different sites. This was a guy who I felt like, after having multiple conversations with, I was like, ‘Wow. Where have you been?’” Check out the interview below and the announcement above.
