‘RHOP’ Star Wendy Osefo And Husband Arrested On Numerous Fraud Charges

Wendy Osefo of Real Housewives of Potomac fame, as well as husband Edward “Eddie” Osefo, have been arrested on charges related to fraud.

According to a statement obtained by PageSix from The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office in Westminster, Md, the reality star couple was taken into custody Thursday (Oct. 9) and are in the process of being released on $50,000 bond each.

Wendy, who joined RHOP in during the Bravo hit’s fifth season, faces a total of 15 charges, including seven felony false/misleading info fraud in excess of $300, seven misdemeanor on-False/mislead info fraud in excess of $300, and a misdemeanor charge of a false statement to an officer.

Husband Eddie faces a separate 18 total charges, including nine felony false/misleading info fraud in excess of $300, eight misdemeanor on-False/mislead info fraud in excess of $300, and a misdemeanor charge of a false statement to an officer, according to the Sheriff’s Office public information officer.

In addition to RHOP, Wendy Osefo is a political commentator, public affairs academic, and former professor who has previously appeared as a talking head on CNN and other networks. Eddie Osefo is a licensed attorney who entered into the cannabis industry with his brand, Happy Eddie, in 2022.

A rep for The Osefos released the following statement to VIBE regarding the arrest:

The arrests follow Osefo’s RHOP co-star, Karen Huger, making her return from prison after serving six months on charges related to a DUI and DWI following a car crash in Maryland.
