Raven-Symoné Explains Why She’s “Careful” When Speaking About Former Co-Star Orlando Brown

It’s an interesting journey to be able to watch stars from your favorite childhood shows grow into adulthood, and it’s equally as intriguing to observe the ever-changing relationship between co-stars. If fans of That’s So Raven were curious about where Raven-Symoné and Orlando Brown stand, the former recently got candid about her thoughts on the latter.

While visiting The Jason Lee Show this week, the Cheetah Girls star opened up about why she chooses her words carefully when speaking about her former co-star. “I have to be careful about what I say about Orlando because — I’m going to keep it 100, this is a safe space — Orlando is very smart,” she said. “His tongue quips are faster than mine, and I know that. He could come off the dome like (snaps fingers) that.”

Raven Baxter then emphasized how deep their relationship goes, reminding people that she has witnessed various stages of Brown’s life. “He’s been doing that since I’ve known him, and I’ve known for a very long time. My quips come three weeks later. I know his family. I know him. I know him before drugs, after drugs. During God, not during God, and he was a comedic genius and he’s still making people laugh,” she continued.

She explained that she often doesn’t feel the need to speak out or reply to claims made about her because she’s secure with where she’s at in life, adding, “I’m secure enough in my bank account and my life where I don’t have to dig that deep down to take it. And I also don’t have to defend myself about anything because that was his experience.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Raven reminds Jason and his listeners about Orlando’s extensive acting catalogue. Many fans praised the Cosby Show actress for her ability to keep it cordial, with a top comment on Instagram reading, “I like she didn’t do him wrong she showed him love bro.” Another user typed, “She still has love for that man, she spoke so nice about him and has been keeping up with his shenanigans.”
