Rapper’s Father To Testify Against His Own Son In Murder Trial

The murder trial of Jacksonville rapper Ksoo, born Hakeem Robinson, officially began its first phase with jury selection on Monday, July 21, in a case that continues to attract national attention for its deeply personal and unexpected twist — his own father is set to testify against him.
Ksoo stands accused of the 2019 killing of 16-year-old Adrian Gainer, known in the local rap scene as Bibby. Gainer’s death is one of the most high-profile cases tied to the escalating tensions between Jacksonville rap-affiliated gangs ATK and KTA.
ATK is associated with Jacksonville rapper Yungeen Ace, whereas KTA is aligned with late rapper Julio Foolio, who was slain in a shooting in June 2024.

In addition to charges relating to Bibby’s death, Ksoo is also awaiting trial for a second murder — the 2020 killing of rival rapper Charles McCormick Jr., a.k.a. Lil Buck. Both cases are being handled separately, with the Bibby trial expected to begin after jury selection concludes for the Lil Buck case.
What has shocked many observers is the involvement of Ksoo’s father, Abdul Robinson Sr., who is also facing charges as an accessory after the fact in the Lil Buck case.
Rather than standing in silence, Robinson Sr. has agreed to testify on behalf of the prosecution — a move that has sparked heated debate within the hip-hop community and among Ksoo’s followers.
However, Robinson Sr. has defended his actions, arguing that his son should’ve exonerated him without question in a social media post that’s since been deleted.
“If it was me and my Daddy (Shaka tip) in a situation like this, I would’ve been freed my daddy along time ago,” the father wrote at the time. “NO MATTER WHAT MY CONSEQUENCES WOULD’VE BEEN(no justification needed).”
The father continued, scolding his son for not stepping up on his behalf. “Especially if he’s a good/great daddy(datpart) He could do more for me out of jail than in jail/prison!!!! WHO LEAVE THERE DADDY IN JAIL TO ROT??? ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU KNOW HE INNOCENT.”

Also entangled in the Bibby case is Ksoo’s brother, Abdul Robinson Jr., who awaits his own trial on second-degree murder charges.
The Bibby murder trial not only highlights the deadly overlap between gang rivalries and music in Jacksonville, but now reveals a painful fracture within one family — where survival, loyalty, and truth seem to be pulling in opposite directions.
