Rapper’s Father Identifies Him As Alleged Gunman In Murder Trial Testimony

In a dramatic turn during a high-profile murder trial, the father of Jacksonville rapper Ksoo took the stand, identifying his own son as the alleged shooter in a 2020 homicide.

Authorities believe Ksoo, born Hakeem Robinson, and co-defendant Leroy Whitaker are responsible for the murder of Charles McCormick Jr.—a killing allegedly sparked by a diss track aimed at Ksoo’s half-brother.

On Monday (July 28), Abdul Robinson Sr., who is also facing charges of accessory to murder for his alleged role in the crime, gave damning testimony against his son in court.

Despite the emotional weight of his actions, Robinson Sr. defended his decision to cooperate with prosecutors. “The hardest thing [he’s] ever had to do in [his] life,” he said of testifying against Ksoo.

Ksoo and Whitaker’s defense teams maintain their clients’ innocence, instead pointing the finger at admitted accomplice Dominique Barner. They argue that Barner, in an effort to escape full responsibility, is falsely implicating others to reduce his own sentence.

Earlier this month, amid mounting criticism surrounding him seemingly turning his back on his son, Robinson Sr. took to social media to further explain his choice.
