Quincy Brown Shares Heartfelt Birthday Tribute To Late Mother, Kim Porter

Quincy Brown shares a heartfelt memory while celebrating his mother Kim Porter‘s posthumous birthday. In a clip shared on social media, the 33-year-old shares a nostalgic treasure uncovered in the family home.

“It is December 15th, and I want to wish my mother a happy heavenly birthday,” shared Brown in the 5-minute clip. “And instead of dropping an exclusive, unseen photo…I’m tired of that, honestly. I’ll save that for the documentary or something. I’m not searching for exclusive photos anymore. That’s just not what I’m here to give the gram.”

He continued to elaborate, “However, storytime. I can do storytime. I want to share a story today, that actually just happened. It’s crazy how life works. Today is actually a full moon in Gemini. We in Sagitarrius [season]. [It’s] My mom’s birthday. It’s crazy. It’s a lot going on.”

“I been going back to Columbus lately, and making sure the house down there is loved on. We’re in L.A., far away from Columbus, Georgia. But, I’ve been visiting a lot. Every time I go back, I always find something. Something sacred… something that’s just like how did I not find this before. So, on the latest episode of Quincy’s findings, through the history of my amazing life, I came across an envelope.”

“Going through like crates and stuff. Nothing that has no labels on it. Didn’t say my name, didn’t say my mom’s name. Nothing. But, I found an envelope. Sealed. Never before opened. And I know this handwriting,” he says pointing to his name scripted on the front. “It’s my mom’s handwriting.”

As the video goes on, he opens the relic, revealing an old Cookie Monster birthday card dated to 1994.

“My Mom gave me my first ever dollar bill,” he detailed, showing off the $10 bill inside the card. “The classic $10 bill. I haven’t seen one of these in ten years, but to see this from her saying, ‘I love you, Mommy.’ … I was three years old, I was looking for the toys! You better off putting this in a toy. But I think it was meant for me to see this 30 years later… I don’t know, it’s crazy to me. Happy birthday Mom, love you.”

Porter died in 2018, with the official cause of death being determined as lobar pneumonia. Earlier this year, Al B. Sure!, ex of the late supermodel and biological father of Brown, called for an investigation into her death after the arrest of her other ex, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and the release of a controversial, unverified memoir claiming to be Porter’s first-hand account of her life.

Quincy and his siblings Christian Combs, and twins Jessie and D’Lila Combs, released a joint statement dismissing Al B. Sure!’s claims, asserting, “While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play.”
