'Party' With TSU NAMI and Skyler Cocco On bitbird Debut – FUXWITHIT

As both a TSU NAMI and bitbird stan, I could not be more hyped to be writing up her debut single on the label. The producer had been linked to San Holo for a while now and was even featured in the bitbird founder’s ‘bb u ok?’ mega-collab video back in December. But, it’s official official now with the release of TSU Nami and Skyler Cocco’s new track, ‘Party.’

The bouncy tune is not only fun, but it’s also hella relatable. Skyler Cocco, the singer-songwriter, gave us some insight into the lyrics saying she, “wrote from the perspective of someone who is quietly observing a crowded party and daydreaming about going home to be in their element.”

This release is an ode to social anxiety and to everyone who also struggles with it. I wanted to channel the emotions I feel at a social gathering; feeling awkward and scared to contribute to conversations, wanting to hide away from the crowd. I may appear cold and standoffish, but in reality I’m just contemplating what I should say to you.

TSU NAMI

As a hermit, the track hits home. But as a future bass lover, this shit slaps. ‘Party’ is eerily reminiscent of the innovative, twinkling wave racer-esque gems on SoundCloud back in 2014. Jam-packed with cascading synths, danceable drum breaks, and hypnotic vocals, TSU NAMI and Skyler Cocco captivate us from start to finish.

Seeing artists like TSU NAMI flourish in the electronic music industry is definitely an inspiration to me. And I really can’t wait to continue following her career and see what moves she makes next. Listen to TSU NAMI and Skyler Cocco join forces for ‘Party’ below.
