Naomi Osaka Says Kendrick Lamar Should “Drop Two More” Disses On Drake
Naomi Osaka is here for Hip-Hop’s competitive spirit and would like to see Kendrick Lamar and Drake continue squaring off. On Wednesday (May 8), Osaka was asked about the feud during a post-game presser for the Italian Open.
The acclaimed tennis player prefaced her answer, admitting she’s a “pacifist” and a “neutral party.” However, she wouldn’t mind seeing Dot drop another banger on Drake’s head in this particular incident. As she doubled down, the new mother explained that one might not do the trick, so she wanted him to drop two more aimed at his rap rival.
“Kendrick dropped some heat, that last song,” the four-time Grand Slam champion told the press, referencing Lamar’s “Not Like Us.” “That last song is amazing and I played it walking onto the court.”
“Technically, Kendrick dropped that song, then Drake dropped ‘The Heart Part 6,’ so technically Kendrick could drop another two if he wanted to,” the 26-year-old added. “Me being a Kendrick fan, I haven’t gotten this many Kendrick songs in a very long time… So, you know, if he wants to keep dropping.”
Since March, the Kendrick Lamar-Drake feud has been raging on. So much so, that the battle has spread across pop culture and pierced middle America’s consciousness. The feud is everywhere. Recently, President Joe Biden used Kendrick Lamar’s “Euphoria” diss to take aim at his political opponent, Donald Trump. His campaign team uploaded a slideshow taking shots at Trump for his string of controversies, such as being sexist, xenophobic, and unfit to run for president of the United States again after his legal woes.
“It’s always been about love and hate, now let me say I’m the biggest hater,” the prompts read. “I hate the way that you walk over women’s rights, the way that you talk about immigrants. I hate the way that you dress, I hate the way that you sneak diss on Truth Social.”
