Metro Boomin Rape Lawsuit Headed To Trial After “Unsuccessful” Settlement Negotiations

Metro Boomin‘s rape lawsuit is officially headed to trial. After being accused by Vanessa LeMaistre in her 2024 civil suit, both parties entered settlement negotiations, which have since failed, per Billboard.

In her filing, LeMaistre claimed famous producer sexually assaulted and impregnated her in 2016. She recalled an alleged incident where she ingested Xanax and alcohol in Metro Boomin’s studio and later woke up “completely unable to move or make a sound” while he raped her.

The trial is set for Sept. 23, 2025, and it will take place in a Los Angeles federal court room. The outlet states Metro’s attorneys attempted to avert trial by holding a mediation session with a retired judge in July, but no mutual agreement was ever reached.

“After the mediation, the parties have continued limited settlement discussions, which have proven unsuccessful,” says the joint status report. “The parties are currently preparing the matter for trial.” Metro Boomin has denied the rape allegation and his attorneys previously called the situation a “pure shakedown.”

LeMaistre alleges she became pregnant as a result of the assault. The suit also references lyrics in Metro’s song “Rap Saved Me” with Offset, 21 Savage and Quavo, which came out in 2017, the year after the defendant met Metro. The lyrics are “She took a Xanny, then she fainted/ I’m from the gutter, ain’t no changing/ From the gutter, rap saved me/ She drive me crazy, have my baby,” which were rapped by  21 Savage and Offset. Metro has denied writing the lyrics.

The legal troubles continue amid Metro’s latest album rollout. The Atlanta-based hitmaker dropped off Metro Boomin Presents: A Futuristic Summa (Hosted By DJ Spinz) on Aug. 1, 2025. The two-disc body of work boasted a star-studded roster of assists including 2 Chainz, Waka Flocka Flame, Young Dro, Quavo, Travis Porter, Lil Baby, and plenty more. To celebrate the project, he hosted a Y2K-themed party at a skating rink. Check out VIBE’s recap here.
