Mary J. Blige Announces New Album, 2025 Tour With Ne-Yo And Mario
Mary J. Blige isn’t playing any games. Two years after the release of her Grammy-nominated LP, Good Morning Gorgeous, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul has announced that her new album, Gratitude, is slated for release on Nov. 15.
She is also headed back on the road, starting in January 2025 for her ‘For My Fans’ tour along with Ne-Yo and Mario. Blige made the reveal on Monday (Sept. 23) during her appearance on Sherri.
When host Sherri Shepherd asked what gratitude meant for her, the singer expressed, “I mean, look at my life right now. I’m in a constant state of gratitude. I feel good. I have jobs and opportunities. I’m healthy. My family’s healthy. I have people around that care for me and love me and I have amazing fans for all the years of love and support that they’ve given me.”
Earlier this year, she told PEOPLE that this might be her “last studio album.” After asking for clarity, the actress replied, “Everybody says that. I mean, OK. I guess it’s not then. I love it, I enjoy it, and it might be the last studio album. It might be.”
Regarding the tour that’s dedicated to her devoted fanbase, Blige tweeted, “When it’s all said and done, it’s never all said and done, I owe my fans a gratitude I can’t put into words, so I put it into a show.”
Artist Presale sign-up closes on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 11:00 p.m. ET. Pre-sale goes live on Oct. 1. According to Ticketmaster, the tour will stop in most major cities including New York City, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, St. Louis, Toronto, and Washington D.C..
The full list of tour dates has not been unveiled. Watch Blige discuss her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, the final season of Power Book II: Ghost, the 30th anniversary of My Life, Gratitude, the upcoming tour, and more with Shepherd above.
