M.I.A. Says Beyoncé Bought $200M Malibu Mansion By “Feeding Into” The Industry “Machine”

M.I.A. has thrown shade upon Beyoncé’s purchase of a Malibu mansion worth hundreds of millions, attributing the acquisition as a product of the singer being a part of an alleged industry “machine.”

“I’m also in a town where the most expensive house in this town is owned by a Black woman, which is Beyoncé,” M.I.A. stated during a recent rant on social media.

The “Paper Planes” singer accused Beyoncé of “feeding” into the seemingly clandestine “machine,” which M.I.A. believes “capitalizes” on the “ignorance” of its consumers.

However, according to the renowned hitmaker, she’s taken it upon herself to enlighten the public and “clear sh*t up” regarding the alleged seedy underbelly of celebrity and influence in entertainment.

“Money and everything and accumulation and everybody’s spirit has been feeding into this machine. And the machine has been paying out, hence you can have someone like Beyoncé have a $200 million house.”

Beyoncé, as well as her husband, JAY-Z, have been targets of M.I.A.’s in recent times, as the artist has criticized both in multiple instances over the past year.

Last year, the 49-year-old expressed her displeasure with Adele crediting Beyoncé as a driving influence in her artistry and career during various acceptance speeches, citing the fact that she was the first major client of Adele’s longtime manager.

“[Adele’s] career would not exist if I hadn’t made Jonathan Dickens into a manager, who is her manager?” M.I.A. claimed in a fiery video on social media. “When she gets an award, she thanks Beyoncé. And I’m sick and tired of all of the f**king women who don’t want to give respect to me because I’m a brown woman in music.”

In that same clip, she also accused JAY-Z of once suggesting that she undergo plastic surgery in order to boost her appeal and popularity as an artist.

“I’m not insecure because I would have got plastic surgery,” she reasoned at the time. “So their argument of ‘Maya’s f**king insecure, that’s why she needs to f**king massage her ego,’ fails.

“It fails because you turn around and ask… What women do you know who hasn’t had plastic surgery around [JAY-Z]? All of them have. I’m the only one who didn’t, which already proves the fact it’s not insecurity.”
