King Von Mural Vandalized Days After Lil Durk’s Arrest

It was reported on Sunday (Oct. 27) that King Von‘s mural in Chicago was vandalized.

According to a photo from a Chicago-based blog, the artwork was tagged with “Andy hearts Suki,” just days after Lil Durk was arrested in an alleged murder-for-hire scheme.

Durk is being held in Broward County jail and is facing two counts of conspiracy to commit murder for hire resulting in death. Per NBC Miami, the rapper was arrested by U.S. Marshals between late Thursday and early Friday while attempting to flee the country.

Investigators close to Durk’s case believe the murder-for-hire plan is in retaliation for Von’s death.

Fans believe the vandalizing of the slain rapper’s mural was a conspiracy.

“The police doing this,” one user commented. “They got cameras. They watch all day and grab people right here they see with guns. You telling me they didn’t see someone spray painting ? This is to stir up the pot.”

Another wrote, “What happened to the police and locals that usually watch the mural? Smh.”

The mural went up last November, three years after the drill rapper was killed at age 26.

Back in 2019, Von and Durk were accused of attempted murder.

Georgia’s Superior Court of Fulton County issued a motion to dismiss via a statement from District Attorney Fani T. Willis. It read, “The facts of this case have been reviewed and, although it appears that probable cause existed for the defendant’s arrest, the decision of the District Attorney at this time is not to prosecute.”

The charges were ultimately dropped in 2022.
