Kevin Hart Dishes On Tension With Michael Jordan: “I Can F**king Care Less”

Michael Jordan had a knack for making enemies on the court, some of whom still hold ill will despite decades passing since they last played against one another. He’s gained some real-life rivals over the years as well, such as Kevin Hart, who has revealed the origin of their “beef.”

The 45-year-old comedian performed in Atlantic City last month as part of his Acting My Age tour. While on stage, he explained that they hadn’t spoken in years, recalling a specific instance that frustrated the six-time NBA Champion.

“Michael’s had an attitude with me for years because I hosted a celebrity event for him and he came in late,” he said, per a source who spoke with Daily Mail. “I saw him coming in late [and] I hit him with [a joke]. It was quick. It was all in fun. I don’t know where it came from. I just hit him with a quick one.”

Hart said that Jordan gave him an attitude after the event and that was the last time they spoke, claiming that they don’t “get along” and MJ wasn’t a fan of his. As far as that being something that gets him down, the Soul Plane actor feels the exact opposite.

“I don’t give a sh*t,” he said. “I could care less. I can f**king care less. I’m at a point in my life where it’s very hard to bother me. I’m 45 years old and it’s not about the progression of life. You get to the point where little things don’t matter. I’m not the same person I once was.”

Hart previously discussed their tension during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2016. He hosted a charity event in Las Vegas and made fun of the NBA legend’s pants. “I was like, ‘Man, what age do you get to where it’s OK to wear your pants that high and nobody addresses it?’” he recalled. “‘You’re telling me I’m the only one that thinks Mike’s pants are past the legal limit for waist?’” He said MJ gave him a look of disapproval and a noticeably firm handshake after the event.

Despite the negativity between them, Hart admitted he still had respect and admiration for the iconic baller.

“He’s still my favorite player though,” he said. “If I see him again I’m gonna ask him about it. ‘You better lose the ‘tude, Mike.’”
