Kelly Rowland, Method Man To Co-Star In Upcoming Romantic Comedy, ‘Relationship Goals’

Kelly Rowland and Cliff “Method Man” Smith will soon be joining forces for an upcoming romantic comedy titled Relationship Goals.
Deadline has reported that Rowland — who just turned 44 beside her Destiny’s Child gal pals — and Method Man, 53, will lead the new Amazon MGM Studios film based on author Michael Todd’s bestseller, Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage, and Sex. The popular tome spent 13 straight weeks on the NY Times bestsellers list and debuted at No. 1 on Amazon, according to the streamer. Robin Thede of A Black Lady Sketch Show fame and Annie Gonzalez are set to co-star.

“Relationship Goals is a funny and inspiring romantic comedy on finding lasting love and sustaining a healthy relationship at every stage of courtship,” a synopsis reads of the film written by screenwriter Laura Lekkos, with Michael Elliot and Cory Tynan penning prior drafts. Rowland and Bart Lipton will executive produce while DeVon Franklin is listed as a producer. The film will be directed by Linda Mendoza, known for her work on Harlem and Survival Of The Thickest.
Rowland most recently starred in Tyler Perry film Mea Culpa, and has previously been featured in films including Think Like A Man, Freddy vs. Jason, and The Curse of Bridge Hollow, in addition to her Merry Liddle Christmas holiday films.
