Kelly Rowland And Method Man Give Love A Second Chance In ‘Relationship Goals’ Trailer
Can love and career success truly coexist? Kelly Rowland and Clifford “Method Man” Smith answer this question as the stars of the upcoming romantic comedy, Relationship Goals.
In the DeVon Franklin-produced and Linda Mendoza-directed movie, Rowland plays Leah Caldwell, a brilliant TV producer set to make history as the first woman to run New York’s top morning show. To her surprise, her ex and rival Jarrett Roy, played by Smith, joins the staff and competes with Caldwell for the same position. During a meeting pitch, he shares how he’s changed as a man, thanks to the transformative wisdom of the (real-life) New York Times bestselling book.
“As her tight-knit circle of friends dive into the same life-changing book, they all begin to rediscover their aim in love,” reads the film’s synopsis. “Yet Leah, laser-focused on breaking through the glass ceiling, isn’t ready to believe in finding love—even as her undeniable chemistry with her ex threatens to reignite old flames.”
To kick off the year, Amazon MGM Studios released the official trailer for the movie (above), featuring castmates Robin Thede, Annie Gonzalez, Dennis Haysbert, and Matt Walsh. Rowland and Smith serve as executive producers alongside Bart Lipton and Pastor Michael Todd.
Relationship Goals was created after Todd released Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage, and Sex, based on his viral sermon series. It spent 13 straight weeks on The New York Times Best Sellers list and debuted at No. 1 on Amazon.
Relationship Goals premieres globally on Prime Video on February 4.
