Kel Mitchell Teases ‘Good Burger 3:’ “We’re Going To ‘Fast And Furious’ This Thing”

Kel Mitchell teased another reunion with Kenan Thompson in a major way. Speaking at 90s Con last week at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Conn., the 46-year-old hinted at a new installment in the Good Burger franchise as well as the revival of the classic 1990s sitcom Kenan & Kel.

“So, here’s the thing — we teased it. At the end of the movie, I said, ‘We’re gonna go to space. We’re going to Fast and Furious this thing,’” he explained, referring to Good Burger 2, per PEOPLE Magazine. “Me and Kenan actually sat down and talked about the script for part three, alright, so it’s going to go down. We’ve got to make sure it’s right, just like how Good Burger 2 was.”

The comedic actor continued to assure fans, “We’re not gonna make you guys wait over 15 years”.

As far as rebooting Kenan & Kel, the outlet noted the series would see the two leading actors as husbands and fathers to reflect the actors’ lives today.

Good Burger 2 was released in November 2023 after years of anticipation from the cast and fans alike. The film stars original cast members Josh Server, Lori Beth Denberg, and Carmen Electra and brings Jillian Bell, Kamaia Fairburn, Alex R. Hibbert, Fabrizio Guido, Elizabeth Hinkler, Emily Hinkler, and Anabel Graetz into the fold.

“Being a part of something so many generations of people have come to love has made me so proud, and now to be back where it all began working on the sequel is surreal,” detailed Thompson. “Love performing with my brother Kel and can’t wait to show the fans what these characters have been up to since we last saw them.”
