Kash Doll Declares Other “Doll” Rappers Copied Her, Debate Erupts Online: “That’s My Wave, That’s My Sh*t”

Kash Doll had a lot to say during her recent visit to Club Shay Shay, as the the Detroit spitter reignited the debate about her being the “original Doll.”

Host Shannon Sharpe stirred the pot during the conversation, exclaiming, “Asian Doll, Dream Doll, Cuban Doll, there’s a lot of dolls!”

That set Kash off, as she took the opportunity to air her grievances about the topic. “Think about this, a person who works so hard and did all of this, and every time I come on the internet it’s a list of ‘Who’s the best Doll?’ and ‘Who’s the cutest Doll?’ It’s like, you put me in a box automatically. I want to be in that conversation,” she said, pointing to the other side of the room. “Not in this one. I been did that. That’s me, that’s my wave. That’s my sh*t. It’s my brand…”

The “Kash Kommandments” rapper drove her point home by explaining what it would be like if she had copied any other female rapper’s name.

“I’ve been doing this all this time, and a group of girls come out, and now it’s just all these Dolls. The only thing you hear a lot in female rap is ‘Doll.’ I didn’t come out as Kash Minaj. I didn’t come out Cardi C. I didn’t come out Old Miami. I didn’t come out Kash Thee Stallion. Because that’s their name,” she concluded.

And when asked by Sharpe if she wants to be the only Doll, she quipped back, “I am. I just wanted everybody to change their name. It’s my name.”

Many of Kash’s fans rallied to agree with her sentiments. One user posted the clip to X and wrote, “I mean out of all the dolls .. she’s the best rapping one so clearly she’s the only doll!” Another person added, “I hate this conversation about who started this ‘doll’ sh*t between the rap girlies because everybody hates to admit that Kash doll is the mother of all dolls, y’all hate to give that lady her flowers.”

The “other Dolls” caught wind of Kash’s sentiments and entered the chat. Asian Doll made her stance clear via her X page, as she retweeted a plethora of older posts that claim “Asian Doll is the hardest Doll.” She also reposted one user who was defending her, saying, “So she’s upset she flopped and wasn’t in the female rap convo that Nicki ,Cardi + was in and she’s blaming Asian Doll for it?? This h*e a hater I’m crying them girls ain’t the reason u wasn’t in rap conversations.”

Asian Doll also co-signed another X post from 2017 that read, “How many female rappers got doll in they name, i stamp asian doll was the first one i seen widd it.”

Cuban Doll wrote on her page, “How yall mad cus we defending our self ? Please nobody Finna punk us out for promo for they mixtape ! What was we post to do shut up ?”

Not only does Kash deliver her thoughts on this debate via interviews, she puts them on wax as well. She named her latest project The Last Doll, a nod to her belief she is the final rapper with the name. The 15-track LP boasts guest features from Tee Grizzley, Yung Bleu, Tracy T, Tink, and more.
