Jordan Peele-Produced ‘Him’ Film Starring Marlon Wayans Reveals Updated Cast
An upcoming horror film produced by Jordan Peele gets a new name as additional cast members are announced. Marlon Wayns was previously revealed as the star of GOAT and while his leading role remains, the film gets a facelift in the title.
Updated to Him per The Hollywood Reporter, the thriller is due in theaters on Sept. 19, 2025, according to an announcement from Universal and Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions. Justin Tipping is set to direct. Additional talent includes rappers Guapdad 4000 and Tierra Whack, both making their feature film debut, as well as Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, comedian Jim Jefferies, and Tyriq Withers.
Withers plays a young rising athlete who attempts to evolve his skills under the guidance of a legendary quarterback (Wayans).
The film, from an acclaimed Black List screenplay by Zack Akers & Skip Bronkie, is described as a “blood-chilling journey into the inner sanctum of fame, power and the pursuit of excellence at any cost.” Him is also produced by Ian Cooper, Win Rosenfeld, and Jamal Watson for Monkeypaw. David Kern and Monkeypaw’s Kate Oh are credited as executive producers.
“Guess the cats out the bag , because I hopped in it. Can’t believe I’m actually in a movie & all ima say is they didn’t name this film ‘Him’ untill I got there,” relayed Guapdad 4000 on Instagram sharing the news.
The Oakland native continued to share pride in sharing Filipino heritage with Him’s director, adding, “Can’t wait for y’all to see how handsome I am in a @universalpictures movie.”
