Janet Jackson Reveals Why She Hates Interviews
No more interviews for Janet Jackson?
That may be coming sooner than we think after the singer went viral for jokingly ending an interview because she “doesn’t like speaking.”
While on the road for her Together Again Tour, Jackson appeared on the U.K. based Heart radio show and made a shocking admission. When asked what’s the one question she hates being asked, the 58-year-old revealed that she hates being asked questions in general.
“I don’t mean to be rude, but I have to be honest with you. Please stop asking me questions,” Jackson said coyly. “And I don’t mean that in a—Because I’ve never thought that I give a good interview. I really don’t like speaking, so I’d rather stay quiet and listen to other people talk. That’s always been me, so I’d rather just be quiet.”
She giggled and finished by stating, “Don’t ask me questions. Are we finished?” She then extended a meet-and-greet invite to the host, who eagerly accepted.
Fans praised Jackson’s candid response. “At least she was gracious about it and didn’t belittle the interviewer. If you don’t like talking, you don’t like talking, I respect that,” one commented. Another quipped, “She said what she said in the most adorable way!!! She is the fierce yet gentle QUEEN. Love her.”
Elsewhere in the chat, Jackson described this tour as “the hardest one I’ve done in a very long time,” but “it’s a fun show.” She also opened up about how she thrives on the unserious parts of the set.
