Gucci Mane Wants YOU To Join His Latest New Label, So Icy Millionaires
Gucci Mane is calling on all up-and-coming rappers to potentially become the first artist of his new So Icy Millionaire record label. Big Gucci hit Instagram on Thursday (July 4) with his announcement, asserting that he was starting “fresh” with the next era of So Icy entertainers. The rapper, along with his wife, Keyshia Ka’Oir, are seen in the video counting money—$2 million in cash that they intend to give to the first artists who sign to the new label.
“You got the Trap God right here. All these are $100,000 a pop,” he said. “That’s what I’m willing to invest in my next superstar ’cause I’m starting a whole new label. Fresh! So Icy Millionaires. So who you wanna join my new label ’cause I’m looking for my next male superstar.”
“I got a million for my next female superstar. I got a million for my next male superstar. Who wanna join the So Icy Millionaires? Hit my DM right now. Happy Fourth of July.”
Fans have questioned Gucci Mane’s ability to run a label after many of his New 1017 Records artists, unfortunately, passed away or were sent to prison. Most recently, Enchating, who first signed to Guwup in 2020 and appeared on the Gucci Mane Presents So Icy Summer album, died at age 26 in June. Per an official statement from Enchanting’s team, the artist had been taken off of life support following a drug overdose.
A representative for the rapper, née Channing Nicole Larry, stated that she was reportedly going through withdrawal from a drug addiction in her final days, saying, “She came to my house the last four days to get clean. She tried her best, and I did everything I could to help her; she tried.”
Rapper Big Scarr, another new artist poised to make noise on the 1017 label, had his life cut short, dying at the age of 22 after suffering from a drug overdose in December 2022.
Other rappers on the label, Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, Hotboy Wes, and Hoodrich Pablo Juan are all currently serving prison time.
