GloRilla Slams Tokyo Toni For Accusing Her Of Praising Beyoncé For Clout

GloRilla and Tokyo Toni got into a heated social media exchange after the latter accused Glo of embellishing her support for Beyoncé in an attempt to gain clout.

While many music fans rejoiced over Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album winning Album of the Year at the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards on Sunday night (Feb. 2), Toni apparently wasn’t in that camp.

In a social media upload following the awards, Toni, the mother of Blac Chyna, expressed her annoyance with the public’s seemingly incessant fawning over Bey.

She particularly took aim at GloRilla, who was visibly animated in her reaction to Knowles-Carter finally winning Album of the Year after falling short on multiple occasions.

Toni threw shade at the Memphis native’s physical appearance, likening her to an adolescent while attempting to clown her for her visible fandom.

“Gorilla,” Toni said, making a crude play on her younger counterpart’s moniker.

“‘Cause ain’t nothing glowing about you, little one. Two feet tall… looking like a ten year old boy. Jumping up and down for a b*tch like that.”

Toni then deemed GloRilla a “clout chaser,” reasoning that Beyoncé wouldn’t react similarly in response to her musical peers’ and fans’ own success.

“They gotta do it,” the social media influencer said of the industry’s deference towards Beyonce. “She not gonna do that for you.”

Upon catching wind of the digs, the 25-year-old quickly clapped back, comparing Tokyo Toni to a beast. “Somebody call animal control,” the “TGIF” rapper quipped in her own retort.

GloRilla’s public display at the GRAMMYs should come as no surprise, as she’s been open about her affinity for Beyoncé in the past.

She previously spoke of her first time meeting the Texas native at last year’s GRAMMY Awards, a moment she admits made her starstruck.

“I was like, ‘Oh sh*t!’” the rising superstar said of the opportunity to meet Bey. “I was kinda scared,” she added.

“They asked me can I talk to Beyoncé and she let me in her room. I was like, ‘Ahhhh!’ And she always be so nice to me. I feel like she love me just as much as I love her. For real!”
