Fivio Foreign Released From Jail, Faces Three Years Probation For Alleged Terroristic Threat
Brooklyn drill rapper Fivio Foreign has officially been released from jail following his sentencing related to a New Year’s Eve incident that escalated into serious criminal charges.
According to TMZ, the rapper—born Maxie Ryles III—walked free on Friday (Aug. 1) after receiving a sentence of time served for the 196 days he spent incarcerated, along with an additional three years of probation.
The relatively light sentence stands in stark contrast to the potential legal consequences Fivio initially faced.

According to his attorney, Adam Lustberg, the rapper was staring down a mandatory minimum of five years and could have faced up to 20 years behind bars due to his prior criminal record.
“This is a big win for Fivio,” Lustberg noted, pointing out the severity of what was initially on the table.
Fivio’s legal troubles began earlier this year when he was accused of pointing a firearm at a woman who had asked him for help jumpstarting her car. The incident, which allegedly took place on New Year’s Eve, led to his arrest on January 18 in New Jersey.

According to reports, Fivio warned the woman, “If I see you parked in front of this building again there is going to be a f**ing problem.”
Initially charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, aggravated assault, and terroristic threats, Fivio ultimately pleaded guilty in May to a single count of making terroristic threats—or threatening to commit a crime of violence in the third degree.
While he’s now back on the streets, the rapper will remain under legal supervision for the next few years, marking the latest setback in a career that’s been marred with legal matters.
