Eminem Predicts Grammy Sweep For Kendrick Lamar In All Seven Categories

The 2025 Grammys are looking to be a showdown between Kendrick Lamar and every other nominee—and Em doesn’t have a problem with K. Dot reigning supreme.

During a special Shade 45 interview celebrating the Sirius XM station’s 20th anniversary on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24), Slim Shady and his manager, Paul Rosenberg, sat down with DJ Whoo Kid to discuss the upcoming awards.

When the Grammys came up, Em didn’t hold back his admiration for Kendrick. “I mean, it’s very stiff competition,” he said with a smile. “Kendrick’s gonna sweep that sh*t. He’s going to, and he should.”

Kendrick, who’s up for seven nominations next year, will face Eminem head-to-head in two categories: Best Music Video and Best Rap Performance.

Despite the friendly rivalry, Eminem has remained in awe of Kendrick’s artistry.

In 2022, prior to their unforgettable performance together at the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, Eminem called K.Dot “the most electrifying vocalist of this generation” during an interview with Sway Calloway. “Kendrick is at the very top, top tier of lyricists—not just of this generation, but of all time.”

Even further back in 2015, Em told the New York Times, “When I first heard Kendrick’s debut on Aftermath, I couldn’t believe it. The fact that it was his first real album and he was able to make it into a story which intertwines with the skits like that was genius. The level of wordplay, deliveries, the beats—it’s just a masterpiece.”

The Grammys are set to air on Feb. 2 with Kendrick having noms in the categories: Record of The Year, Song of The Year, Best Rap Song (“Like That” and “Not Like Us”), and the aforementioned Best Music Video and Best Rap Performance (“Like That” and “Not Like Us”).
