Dreka Gates Addresses Cheating Rumors Surrounding Separation From Kevin Gates

Dreka has cleared the air about cheating rumors surround her split from Kevin Gates, whom she married in 2015. The entrepreneur and wellness coach addressed rumors of infidelity while responding directly to a fan’s accusation on Instagram.

The question, which was later shared by The Shade Room, bluntly asked: “Why you do that to Kevin gates. Why you cheat with the personal trainer that he hired?” Dreka wasted no time shutting down the remark with, “I HAVE to address this because it’s really gone a little too far and I don’t care for social media to continue to spread this misinformation.”

“I have NEVER had any type of sexual or romantic encounters with my personal trainer or any ‘hired help’ and will NEVER,” she added, before doubling down that she is heterosexual. “And just to make it CLEAR, sorry ladies but I am strictly about the [eggplant emoji] and I do not do plastic. I need the real thang! Please and thank you.”

The rumor in question traces back to 2022, when the “Big Gangsta” rapper dropped his emotionally charged track “Super General.”

In it, Gates alluded that he lied to the public in an effort to “protect” Dreka’s image. He also included a line about a personal trainer who “invaded [his] personal space,” which fueled online speculation that Dreka may have crossed boundaries with a female fitness coach.

However, Gates later clarified the narrative during a 2024 interview on Yung Miami’s Caresha Please. “If you listen at the time I never said she cheated on me one time,” he stated. “I never said they cheated. I never accused them of anything.”

Dreka’s recent statement comes after Gates allegedly proposed to Brittany Renner, his new girlfriend. Earlier this month, Renner sparked marriage rumors after referring to Gates as her “husband” in footage from the Basketball Wives Season 12 premiere.

The two have yet to confirm or deny the status of their relationship.
