Drake Surprises Latto At Toronto Show, Delivers Impromptu “Housekeeping Knows” Performance
Latto is currently out on the road closing out her eventful year with a headlining tour, and an extra special guest came out to support her most recent stop. Drake showed love to the Atlanta rapper at her show last night (Nov. 7) in Toronto, Drizzy’s home city.
The surprise visit was extra fitting because the two rappers dropped off their collaboration, “Housekeeping Knows,” just a few months ago. Clips from the night show the 6 God rapping his parts of the song from the VIP section in the upper tier of the venue, kicking it off with the call-and-response “ride, ride” and before sliding into his verse.
“Ride (Ride), ride (Ride), ride, act like you ridin’ the stick/ East Coast girls poppin’ a** and poppin’ pills/ West Coast girls do the same, but in the hills/ Southside girls, they know how to close a deal (Southside)/ Up in the 6, up, up in the 6/ Up in the 6, they do whatever they feel,” he raps.
Then, the spotlight shifts back to the 777 spitter as she hits her choreo and Drake supports her from the stands. Check out the performance from the concert below.
Another thing to note about the eventful night is Latto’s opening act, Mariah The Scientist, was also in attendance and delivered her set as scheduled. Earlier this week, fans were criticizing the singer for “cancelling” the rest of her appearances in order to see her boyfriend Young Thug, who was recently released from jail. However, last night confirms the claims were just rumors.
“Housekeeping Knows” was released within Drake’s 100 GIGS drop earlier this year, his massive content dump of old files, unheard tracks, videos, and more. Other songs that were included in the release were “Circadian Rhythm” and “It’s Up” featuring Young Thug and 21 Savage.
Latto is halfway through her Sugar Honey Iced Tea Tour and there are still a handful of dates left to see the “Lottery” star. Check out the remaining shows below and grab tickets here.
