Drake Revisits Sentimental City Where 7-Year-Old Son Adonis Was Conceived

While performing in Amsterdam on Wednesday night (July 30), Drake hit pause on the show to reflect on his connection to the city. In a fan-recorded video, the “What Did I Miss?” icon revealed that Amsterdam is where he and artist Sophie Brussaux conceived their now 7-year-old son, Adonis.
“I was saying backstage, I was saying that this is the place. A very special place in my heart. Because this is where my son was conceived,” Drizzy told the crowd. “So this is a big show for me, you know? I hold Amsterdam very dear to my heart.”
He added, “There would be no Adonis if there wasn’t an Amsterdam, so shoutout to y’all.”
Drake has let fans into his fatherhood journey over the years, sharing many heartwarming moments.
Last November, he shared a handwritten letter from Adonis via Instagram Stories that read, “Thank you for giving me such a good life and a good family. I love you dad,” signed, “Adonis to Dad.”
When Adonis turned seven last October, Drake went all out with a SpongeBob SquarePants-themed birthday bash. The proud dad posted two photos from the celebration, featuring him and Adonis posing in front of a Bikini Bottom backdrop, captioned “Big Don.”
The Grammy-winner also gave us a glimpse of his Father’s Day last year, with sweet pics with Adonis and his own father, Dennis Graham.
In one photo, the trio rocked cowboy hats, and in another, showed off their smiles. “Three generations Happy Fathers Day to the ones guiding their daughters and sons,” Drake wrote at the time.
