Drake And Sophie Brussaux Celebrate Adonis’ 8th Birthday

Drake and Sophie Brussaux reunited for a special moment. Together, they celebrated their son Adonis‘ 8th birthday in what appeared to be a western-themed party. Photos and videos circulating across social media show the trio posing and cutting a luxurious cake, smiling from ear to ear.

The venue was decorated with hues of blue, brown, and white, with Adonis “wanted” posters hung on display. A three-tiered cake featured cowprint, denim, and rope, in alignment with the apparent rodeo decor.

Drake also shared an image of his son on Instagram stories. Over the weekend, he uploaded a photo of Adonis wearing a plain white t-shirt, grey sweat pants, and Nike sneakers. Posed with a slight smile, the now 8-year-old has shed the long, bouncy curls Drake fans had grown accustomed to.

In July, the Grammy-winner paused his show in Amsterdam and shared that the European city is where Adonis was conceived.

“I was saying backstage, I was saying that this is the place. A very special place in my heart. Because this is where my son was conceived,” confessed the Toronto-bred musician. “So this is a big show for me, you know? I hold Amsterdam very dear to my heart.”

He added, “There would be no Adonis if there wasn’t an Amsterdam, so shoutout to y’all.”

Earlier this year, Drake claimed that he was forced to remove Adonis from school due to security concerns amid his beef with Kendrick Lamar and the success of “Not Like Us.” His legal team argued that a series of alleged events, such as “an armed group of assailants” at his home, was an example of Universal Music Group (UMG) prioritizing “corporate greed” over the “safety and wellbeing of its artists.”

Last week, a judge dismissed Drake’s defamation lawsuit against UMG, ruling that “the vitriolic war of words that erupted between superstar recording artists” did not cross any legal boundaries. The Take Care performer has planned to appeal the decision.
