Dolly Parton Praises Beyoncé On Her Country Music Feat: “Can’t Wait To Hear The Album!”

Country music icon Dolly Parton has extended her congrats to Beyoncé on her latest history-making Country charts feat with “Texas Hold ‘Em.” Parton not only showed excitement for the forthcoming Renaissance: Act II album, but also let it be known that she’s a a part of the Bey-hive.

“I’m a big fan of Beyonce and very excited that she’s done a country album,” wrote the “Jolene” crooner on her Instagram story. “So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single. Can’t wait to hear the full album!”

Beyoncé’s eighth studio album Renaissance Act II will drop on March 29.

The Texas star made history upon her “country era” as the first woman to top both the Hot Country Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Charts, per Billboard. Additionally, Bey is now the first Black woman to debut atop the Country chart.

“Texas Hold ’Em” was released simultaneously with the second single, “16 Carriages,” in a surprise album announcement played during the 2024 Super Bowl. Upon the announcement, Bey starred in a Verizon ad where she contemplated ways to stop the world — which ultimately came in the form of her next album announcement.

According to BB, “Texas Hold ‘Em” garnered over “19.2 million official streams and 4.8 million in all-format airplay audience and sold 39,000 in the US through February 15” as “16 Carriages” brought in “10.3 million streams, 90,000 in radio reach and 14,000 sold.”
