DK Metcalf Announces Engagement To Normani During Steelers Presser
Normani has a bit more dopamine in her life these days and she has her man, NFL star DeKaylin “DK” Metcalf to thank for it.
Nearly three years to the day they were introduced, the two-time Pro-Bowler used the press conference after his blockbuster trade from the Seattle Seahawks to the Pittsburgh Steelers to reveal he’d popped the question.
“I started sending her flowers with a story and then the last letter on the flower was ‘Will you marry me?’ And she said yes,” gushed the wide receiver smiling ear to ear. He then urged Normani to “hold that rock up, baby.”
In a separate video, Metcalf gushed about joining the Steelers, thanking his agents and his “beautiful fiancée.”
He told reporters at the press conference that he’d been wanting to propose since 2024, but wanted to “take an approach to where a schedule couldn’t matter.”
Normani and Metcalf met in 2022, thanks to Ciara and Russell Wilson, and the couple shared a congratulatory message on TikTok.
“Russell Wilson and I knew when we introed yall 3yrs ago ..love was truly in the air! Now yall gon be booed up for forever!! This was the best news! DK Metcalf, Normani we love yall so much!,” the “Goodies” singer shared with a group Facetime screenshot of Normani flashing her ring alongside Metcalf.
The Dopamine singer previously described her relationship as “an answered prayer,” telling Rolling Stone, “I’ve experienced a lot with relationships. I’m a real lover girl. I wear my heart on my sleeve, and finding space where that’s reciprocated feels good. I like to see myself happy. I really do.”
