Diddy Shot Me In Face, Not Shyne, Says Victim From Infamous New York Club Shooting

A woman wounded during the infamous 1999 club shooting involving rap stars Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jamal “Shyne” Barrow claims that it was Combs, not Shyne, who shot her in the face nearly 25 years ago.

Natalia Reuben, one of multiple clubgoers injured during a shooting at Club New York in Manhattan on Dec. 27, 1999, took to social media on Wednesday (Feb. 28) to accuse Diddy of firing the gun that left her maimed.

“Let me tell you why that is of utmost importance to me,” Reuben said of the current legal issues plaguing Combs. “Because I am the woman he shot in the face in that December 27, 1999 Club New York shooting. I have told everyone ad nauseam since then, even the surgeon who did the surgery to take the bullet, I got shot in my face with a 9 mm hollow-point bullet called a cop killer.”

Reuben remained adamant that she fingered Diddy as the triggerman decades ago, insisting that she told the medical staff that performed surgery on her such immediately following the shooting. However, she suggests that Combs was able to bribe witnesses of the crime to dispose of incriminating evidence against him.

“I literally told everyone and never changed what I said,” she added. “I watched him, I got [shot] in the face, I watched him fire the gun. I’ve said it all this time. Even the surgeon who did my surgery testified in the criminal trial that while they were putting me under [anesthesia]. I was screaming, ‘Puffy [shot] me in the face.’… Everybody knew he did it, but he paid off the club bouncer and all these other people to hide the video. That’s his MO.”

During the broadcast, Reuben, who was reportedly paid $1.8 million in damages by Combs, also accused him of flattening her car tires several times as a form of intimidation.

Diddy and Shyne were both arrested following the Club New York shooting and charged with weapons violations and other charges. Combs was also charged with bribing his driver at the time, Wardel Fenderson, to claim ownership of a gun he was in possession of on the night of the shooting. Ultimately, Combs would be exonerated on all charges, whereas Shyne was convicted for the shooting and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

He would be released from prison in 2009 and deported to Belize, where he is now a Belizean political leader. He and Combs have since reconciled and have even performed live with one another.
