Diddy Receives “Incredibly Emotional” Jail Visit From His Mother And Twin Daughters
As Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal turmoil continues, he at least has the support of his immediate family members. TMZ reported the Bad Boy founder received a recent visit from his mother, Janice Combs, and his twin daughters, Jessie and D’Lila.
The outlet’s source said the ladies traveled from California, where they live, all the way to Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, where Diddy is being held. The source added the visit was “incredibly emotional,” which is what motivated Janice to issue a statement in defense of her son afterward.
Submitted to The Hollywood Reporter via her attorney Natlie G. Figgers, the official statement urged people to let Diddy “share his side” of the story. The mogul was arrested in NYC on Sept. 16 and charged with racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Janice called the allegations a “narrative created out of lies” and said she believes he deserves to tell his perspective. “To bear witness what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words,” she said, likely referring to the 120 new accusers who came forward and sought representation by Tony Buzbee at the top of this month. “Like every human being, my son deserves to have his day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence.”
“History has showed us how individuals can be wrongfully convicted due to their past actions or mistakes […] It is truly agonizing to watch the world turn against my son so quickly and easily over lies and misconceptions, without ever hearing his side or affording him the opportunity to present his side,” the statement continued.
The twins have not issued any public statements about their father since his arrest, but they did collaborate on an Instagram post regarding the recent “fake” memoir about their late mother, Kim Porter.
“We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives,” read the statement, which was also signed by their brothers, Quincy and Christian. Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind, and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories.” Read the post below.
