Coco Jones Finally Sets The Record Straight About Donovan Mitchell Dating Rumors

Coco Jones has opened up about her dating life after months of rumors swirling about her and Donovan Mitchell. The R&B songstress sat down with Shannon Sharpe on the latest episode of Club Shay Shay where she confirmed her link to the NBA player and also delved into her views about dating in general.
Sharpe asked her directly about the buzz surrounding her and the Cleveland Cavaliers star. “You said it was nothing, but I think it’s odd holding hands, going to an Usher concert,” Sharpe said to her, referring to the viral snapshot of the two in the Vegas crowd last year.
“I love the internet because the definitely clocked my tea. Little spies everywhere,” the “ICU” singer admitted before redirecting the focus onto her music. “I’m happy and I will say, my music is my outlet where I tell my stories and my truth. Some things I keep for myself because this is my life, too. I say some things and you can hear it on my album.”

The Hall of Famer followed up by asking her if she prefers to keep her personal life more private due to her status as a public figure. “Secrecy is not what I prefer. I don’t want to feel like I have to be somebody secret. I don’t want to make anybody feel like they’re mine. For me, I’m trying to protect myself, and I’m trying to protect my family and who I love, so I am more private.”
She added, “I also feel like I give so much. I work so hard and I will always do my part on the business side, the ‘Coco’ side, the singing side, the acting side. So why do I have to also give y’all something that is sacred to me when I give so much on that side? I just feel like it has to be balanced otherwise it’s not fair. What do I get for me?”
Although many fans were thrilled by receiving answers from the coy artist, many also joked about how the admission was not exactly a surprise. “What exactly is the rumor??? She sits courtside next to the bench damn near every one of his home game lmaooo,” one person wrote on X as another added, “She be at all the GAMES. Hell they probably married at this point.”
Another fan said she’s ready to look for clues in the Bel-Air actress’ music, typing, “I’m a fan of hers, but I’m definitely going to listen to the album for any Cavs/Basketball/Donovan references. I’m nosey.”
Speaking of her upcoming music, Coco is officially set to unveil her debut album this year. Titled Why Not More, the project is due on April 25 and she has already shared a single and tour dates. Listen to “Taste” below and watch the Club Shay Shay interview above.
