Chad Johnson’s Ex Lands Deal With His Podcast Co-Host Shannon Sharpe…And He Has Something To Say

Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson has a few words for his Nightcap podcast co-host Shannon Sharpe and Shay Shay Media, as the athlete-turned-media mogul has signed Johnson’s ex, Sharelle Rosado, up to be featured on a new show from the company.

Shay Shay Media made the announcement Monday (Jan. 13) afternoon in an X/Twitter post that read, “We’re proud to announce that #HumbleBaddies has joined the Shay Shay Media family! Thank you Sharelle, Ashley, and Alexis ?? The newest episode of Humble Baddies is out RIGHT NOW on their YouTube channel! Go like, subscribe, watch and share! @SharelleRosado_ @ShannonSharpe.”

“So nobody was gonna run this by me first to see if i was okay with this partnership,” Johnson quote tweeted the post, adding in a second tweet, “Y’all got me f**ked up I’ll do my own damn podcast,” followed by a peace sign emoji.

Rosado and the former NFL star got engaged in early 2023 after welcoming a 2-year-old daughter, Serenity, in January 2022. Unfortunately, the Selling Tampa star announced her split from the athlete in October 2024. While on the Reality with the King podcast with Carlos King, Rosado shared that she went through Ochocinco’s phone and found him having conversations with other women.

“When we were together, there were some… going on and I found out about it, texting other women, you know, [inaudible] around.” She continued, “I was like, ‘F**k this sh*t. Do you know who I am?’ I know who you are and I respect what you have. But it is what it is. And nobody’s perfect. I just feel like, when things happen be honest about it. It shouldn’t lead to that point of how I’m finding out.”

As for Johnson’s complaints about the new series, it’s plausible that he’s just upping the attention for the show to increase viewership. After all, they share a child, and more money coming in for the family isn’t a horrible thing. Only time will tell if that’s the case, or if the former footballer is actually offended enough to ditch his co-hosting gig with Sharpe over the of hiring his ex.
